HANDICRAFT

We live in a modern world where a great deal of things is produced en masse. Two elephants of Ceylon seek to celebrate the arts, crafts and products that are made by human hands, which embrace uniqueness and imply that no piece is like any other. This also means that they are produced in smaller amounts and manufactured with a little extra heart and soul poured into it. Sri Lankan craftsmanship is renowned throughout the world for its complexity, textures, use of colors and uniqueness.

NOVELTY

New ideas, products that can change the way we consume are a key pillar of the ethos of Two Elephants of Ceylon. We encourage novelty products which will improve customers consuming experience fun and exciting.

DESIGN DRIVEN

Another key component of our business is the introduction of design-oriented products and services. That means they will focus on improving the user experience across our product line. While being unique in design, it will also be useful and add to the best user experience for the final customer.

BATIKS

The batiks of Sri Lanka are one of the most loved art forms which has won international recognition. Unlike other batiks in the region, Sri Lankan batiks have sadly become a craft form “too expensive” to manufacture. We are committed to bringing batiks back to the helm of a true Sri Lankan handicraft pieces where makers are proud of their art.

SUSTAINABILTY

Usually, sustainable products are known to limit their impact, today and in the future, on the environment, the workers who make the product and the consumers who use it throughout the product’s full commercial lifecycle. While it is still a new concept in Sri Lanka, we are committed to introducing sustainable practices into the manufacturing of our products and services to minimize the impact on the planet.

WOMEN-LED MANUFACTURING

Two Elephants of Ceylon are strong believers that women-led businesses, especially manufacturing is an essential need in the workforce. Their participation, input is needed at this time to drive the economy forward. We also believe in giving positive visibility of women in industries especially in micro and small businesses.
